Dooooood....sears catalog! I can't describe it either!....so much awesome tho. lol. I learned about the female body from it as well. ;D

I had an "original" kamotors intake as well and it was no different than the universal ebay intakes sans the sticker.

Not sure how easy it would be to patent, KA modifies a pre-made kit to be e30 specific.

I don't think he made mine e30 specific. it just came with some hose clamps, a silicone coupler, some flat stock with holes to bend into some sort of bracket, and an accordion hose. I even had to supply the AFM adapter.

Aside from his sticker, I'm pretty sure it was just what rolled out of china.

I went to my Sears a few months ago not knowing they were closing. The store was pretty much stripped. I bought a bunch of big wrenches and odd sockets for 60-70% off.

I used to be a Craftsman enthusiast. I don’t think it is any better than Home a Depot brand now.

Craftsman has been crap for years, since they started making everything in China. Eddie Lampert ran that place into the ground.

At what again? Branding and selling a simple intake consisting of a generic alibaba sourced carbon fiber filter housing tube and some hose for over $100? That's what kamotors does too. Doesn't seem to be too uncommon.

There was some sarcasm in my post as I have pointed out that these are generic filters earlier.

On a side note, the MQB community lashed back when I pointed out that this is just a rebranded chinese intake, claiming that USP is legit and that I must not understand how the quality of items can differ while looking the same.
