I agree pull the lines off when it reads zero. If a decent amount comes out then it will pressurise really fast. If not much comes out then I think there is an issue.

I had a similar issue with my E34. REplaced everything you did and still would get pressure loss after sitting, causing a long start. I ended up putting a one-way valve in the fuel supply line right at the pump and it fixed the problem. I used this one with the appropriate barbs on each end:

There is also an OE part that works from one of the other models.

By any chance, can you smell fuel in the engine bay after an hour? Just for the sake of sharing, I used a light wipe of silicone grease on my injector O-rings where they connect to the fuel rail to help them seal. If your injectors are leaking from there it might not hurt to try that.
