Should you? No but it doesn't mean you cant. Anyone who has worked at a shop will tell you they have seen cars come in with far worse and still manage to be on the road no "major" issues. Ball joints are probably the #1 thing people just let go until they are being held in by hope and good faith.

I think it'll be fine with those straps. Its not like he'll be drag launching or doing clutch kicks - the 5 bolts that normally support the diff can take a lot of abuse, if he's easy on it, he should be fine.Comment

I'm still alive guys.
I have three more days of driving left before I can fix the subframe showing up from SF on Tuesday. Work Monday-Wednesday then I'll drive the GF's truck thanksgiving, and work on the BMW Friday-Sunday. Won't be driving the car at all this weekend.sigpic
