Classified Forums - Read this first!

Here are a few simple guidelines for this forum. Failure to follow any of these rules will be grounds for your thread to be closed.

Post your information
Post as much info as you can. Say where you are located, where the part is located, the best way to get in contact with you, if you are willing to ship, etc.

Post the item's information
Post as much info as you can. A price must be posted, as well as pictures of the item(s). Post as many pictures as you can, even if it is a common item. A picture tells a thousand words, but it can also conceal another thousand. Links to hosted galleries of images are acceptable, links to eBay and/or Craigslist are not. Once the item sells, please do not edit your ad to remove the price. Many people search through old ads to get an idea what their item may be worth.

If listing a car, post:
-The year and model
-An accurate mileage. If the odometer is broken, post what it reads currently and how many miles you believe it has
-Any aftermarket modifications
-Any known issues or damaged areas
-A price
-As many pictures as possible of every area

If listing wheels and/or tires, post:
-The brand and model
-As many specs as you can, including but not limited to tire size, tread remaining, wheel diameter, width, offset, bolt pattern and centerbore, if multi-piece the lip, barrel and center size. If they have been redrilled post the original bolt pattern and where it was done.
-Any imperfections, including but not limited to curb rash, bends, cracks, repaired areas, scratches. For tires, note any gashes, bubbles, cupping or curb rash
-A price
-As many pictures as possible of every wheel

If listing parts, post:
-What brand and what models it can be used on
-An accurate description
-How long it/they have been used for
-Any imperfections
-A price
-As many pictures as possible of every area

For miscellaneous items, post:
-A detailed description of the item
-How long it/they were used for
-Any imperfections
-A price
-As many pictures as possible of every area

For WTB threads
-Be as detailed as possible.
-List exactly what you want, what variations you will accept, colors or materials, etc.
-Post what you won't accept. This includes imperfections, colors, models, etc.
-Post a price range of what you are willing to pay (typically based on condition).
-Post where you are located and if you would prefer local pickup.

In case the point was not made, everything being sold on this forum must include a price and as many pictures as possible.
-This is not eBay or Craigslist (or any other buy/sell/trade site). Do not post links to those for your ad. The same goes for linking to ads on other forums... either post your information here or have your thread closed.
-Feeler threads are not allowed. If you're not sure about selling it, don't post it.
-Cross-posting within the R3VLimited forum is not allowed. Choose a single subforum for your ad.
-If listing your item for trade, post what you are looking for, what you feel your item is worth, if you would like cash back or if you have cash to put on top.
-Thread crapping is not allowed. If you're not interested in purchasing the item for sale or have nothing positive to add, stay out of the thread or be prepared for a time out. If you complain about the time out, it will be extended.
-Threads can be bumped a maximum of once per day (24h). You are allowed to respond to others more than once a day.
-If listing multiple items, post them in one thread. Exceptions are cars and wheels.

FS: 1987 BMW 325i - MTech 1 Euro Convertible Homage / S52 Swapped and restored

Car is now in Bring a Trailer
    https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1987-bmw-325ic-17/

I purchased the car in 2011 as a bone stock, rust free running/driving 1987 325i Convertible, stock m20, automatic, black/black interior from a fellow BMW CCA member. I cruised in the car for a little while but realized it needed a more responsive transmission.
From there is when the craziness began...

    - Complete respray in Jet Black paint.

    - Sourced full BMW E30 convertible interior and had the seats re-upholstered in Cardinal Red Nappa leather with pleats as seen in 80s BMW interiors by Coachtrim now Euro Interiors in Bedford Hills, NY

    - Custom ordered Merlot Red Convertible top with new tensioners and installed by fellow r3v member fuzzysux.

    - Sourced a '99 BMW M3 coupe - also a CCA car in Bethlehem, PA that a tree had fallen on and totalled. Purchased the complete drivetrain (S52B32 engine and 5spd transmission, wiring harness and accessories) with 85,930 miles on it. Swap was performed by OMG Motorworks in West Babylon, NY. Before the motor was installed we performed complete maintenance including valve cover gasket, lower oil pan gasket, cooling system (thermostat and water pump), new cooling hoses, new Sachs clutchs with lightened flywheel, Medium Case LSD and both tranny and diff fluid were drained and filled, M50 Intake Manifold. I have the complete build sheet I can provide in Google Doc form. Car is OBD1 and has a TRM chip.

    - E30 M3 Cluster with working oil temp gauge

    - UUC Evo3 Short Shift Kit with 5th gear lean fix.

    - UUC Cat-Back Exhaust adapted to fit E30

    - H&R Sport Springs w/Bilstein Sport Struts

    - Staggered 16x9 / 16x7.5 Borbet B Wheels wrapped on 215/45/16 tires (honeycomb center caps brand new old stock from Borbet warehouse in Germany).

    - Brembo Blank Rotors and BMW OE Pads all around. E-Brake restored in 2012.

    - All new ball joints/e30 m3 offset control arm bushings, swaybar end-links refreshed in 2013.

    - E36 M3 Steering Rack

    - New Steel brake hard lines in 2010

    - Crack-free dash from E30 M3

    - All 4 windows are E36 auto up/down - George Graves

    - Lamin-x'd brand new Hella Euro Ellipsoids with Euro french high beam headlights w/HID kit.

    - Lamin-x'd brand new E30 M3/Mtech 1 Hella Foglights with HID kit

    - BMW Motorsport engraved exterior door handles

    - BMW Classic/Historic Cloissone roundels

    - Complete European Chrome Bumper Conversion with authentic BMW OE Mtech 1 Bodykit for Convertible (includes front airdam completely clear-bra'd, convertible side-skirts, and rear valance/apron). Brand new Copper extended tow-hooks.

    - E28 Mtech 1 rear decklid spoiler and 3rd brake light deleted.

    - Convertible Lukebox modification and Alpine CD/MP3 headunit with Bluetooth Audio/Telephone module and 5-channel amplifier driving all speakers and 2 8" subwoofers. This stereo system sounds incredible both with the top up and down.

    - Rewrapped Mtech 1 370mm Steering wheel with extra padding added - 2015

    - Black Leather Shiftboots with M-Technic stitching and ZHP 5spd Shift Knob.

Not to sound cliche, but the car must be seen / driven to be appreciated.
In the winter months, I keep the car in climate controlled/dust-free storage and is garaged in the remaining 3 seasons at home.

Current indicated mileage is 64,901 miles. Rough estimate is 8k miles since the swap was performed.

Reason for sale: I want to replace it with a G50 Carrera, 964 or 993 driver. It was good to experience an E30 in this manner and I've owned 4. I'll probably regret selling but I want to sell to explore a new experience.

    Mother...

Fell in love with this car after seeing the photoshoot with the White MtechI convertible while looking for inspiration for my E30. This is exactly what I would do to mine if I had an unlimited budget. GLWS, man!

I get that. a couple of years behind you, and I may go Cayman S instead. air-cooled is crazy expensive now.

Wow, talk about going the extra mile... very nice! You realize of course, even if you get full ask, it'll barely cover the RWB kit, the rolling stock and suspension needed... Also unless you have connections, wait time is approaching two years! But undoubtedly one of the coolest cars out there, and having been to a build, watching Nakai san work is unforgettable.

This convertible is gorgeous. Its sparks conversations at car meets. Draws your attention when ever you see it. Its speechless. Its rare to see a BMW Factory Euro E30 of this caliber up for sale.
