Interested E30 or E36 switch...as long as it's a step forward over stock. I forget what E36 switches look and feel like right now.

since I only have an e30 with e30 switches, this one will be developed first.

If one of you wants to send me an e36 switch and harness, we can get them made sooner.

Does anyone know how the E36 "one touch" switches are different?

They have two stages; you would be able to feel the first and second click if you came across a set of them.

Yeah, they're just like the modern one-touch ones. I just need to get ahold of one to test the voltages and amperes that run through em when opperating.

Ken, I've got a few one-touch buttons as well as a few regular e36 switches, send me your address (again) and I'll mail them out tomorrow. Test away, as I'd like to get them to work on my car. It'll give you a chance to see what's different with the one touch switches.

I'd like to install four one-touch window switches in my vert, and also one extra switch that would do all four windows down and all four windows up - think e46 vert. Could even be just another one touch e36 switch, I don't care. I just usually put all four down and up, so one button to raise them all together and lower them all together would be great. make THAT one touch, and we're golden.

                      address sent! thanks, Scott!!!

That can probably be done with the 1 switch to control all. I'll let ya know for sure!

Cool man. I messed around with this a little while ago when I was making a MAF converter & discovered how easy microcontrollers & CPLD's were. (I am an ME...prolly gonna get a masters in EE).

Anyway, cool project. The 100 degree thing is a good idea...I hear a lot about peoples' rear windows shattering for no apparent reason. I would guess something thermal related, so this might help. At least the car would be bearable if the wondows cracked & one forgot to open the sunroof! Who knows, I might get lazy & just buy one. from you.

I love electrical work, but being color...challenged...makes it real hard to do. Anything more than primary colors and I'm useless. Heck, I've even mistaken green for grey and vice versa :( Such a shame.

                            WHOAHHEYWAT?

                            Auto headlights?
                            Where's that thread?
Can you guys do rain sensing wipers as well?

I'd be down for the window stuff too, the whole bit.

These are some of the things I miss when I'm in an e30.
You don't notice they're not there until you don't have them any more.
