Feeler: One-touch window modules

There is no separate circuit for the lights within the window motor circuit. It really doesn't have anything to do with how we're going to build the module.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

OK, so it's going to be a tad bit more complicated, but we're going to get the lights in the switches to work, because I don't really want to lose that function. For the slight price increase (~$10), it's not really worth it.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

I don't care if mine light up or not. I'm interested in the E36 setup.Comment

dont the lights in the e30 switches have their own wire? isnt it just run off the main power wire?Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

PLEASE MAKE THESE!!
i would love one with the E36 One-Touch switches..
i think you should sell the unit made for the e36 switches.. with or without them.
add a little to the price if youd include them.. but leave the option open wether or not to include them..
i think it would be nice,
but maybe with an on/off switch for that 100 degree window cracker..
how much would they crack open?
PS. id really like to keep the Light feature..
also, i have 4 windows that go up down... is this just for the front two like most e30s have, b/c thats fine with me..
MAKE THEM MAKE THEM MAKE THEM, ill buy one.Comment

As of right now, we're not going to mess with the window-crack feature because we would have to draw constant power for the module from somewhere else.
We're going to keep the light feature.
We will not be selling e36 switches with any of the modules.
Each module will control two windows. If you have a 4-door or a cabrio, and would like to control all 4 windows, you'll need to buy two modules.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

I got the switches from Scott yesterday, and we were looking over them and the wiring schematics for e36s. It look like that in 92 and 93, BMW still used high voltage switches (just like the e30s). In 94, they switched to low-voltage and used a computer module (much like the one we're building) to control the windows... it looks like all 94+ E36s already have one-touch windows.
The first module we're going to build will work for all e30 switches as well as the single stage 92/93 e36 switches (not sure what color bases these are yet... perhaps you guys could help me out???). We'll still have the lights working on the switches, and as mentioned before, the one-touch feature will be based on switch depression time.
My friend ordered a bunch of demo chips from some companies online. Right now we're waiting for those so we can figure out which command board to purchase to program them.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment

find some green base switches, afaik these are the most common 2 stage e36 switchesYour signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I have plenty of the two stage newer switches, but I'm looking for the single stage ones. The dual stage ones use a difference in resistance to control the computer module. We're going to work on that after we get the first one working.
Does any one know how many different single stage e36 switches there are (the different colored bases)? And what are the differences between them?Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.Comment
