Question on the E46 style alarm, are the chirps for disarming and arming a typical Viper one? or is it the actual Euro BMW style chirp? and how difficult is it to install and replace my old viper alarm system?

Sorry i get picky how my alarm sounds plus its outdated :(

Finally found someone willing to cut this. It wasn't easy though ... the machine must be set up just so ... apparently the BMW locks are very sensitive to how deep the cuts are made.

It has been brought to my attention that the instructions are a little lacking on how to disable the auto arming when you turn off the car. You will need to open up the control box by removing the 4 screws and physically alter the board. I have ordered shunts and will include them in all future kits. If you already ordered a kit and do not want to solder a wire please let me know and i will mail a shunt out to you.

No, this is the feature I'm asking about:

Central door locking automation (locks the doors when you press the brake after starting)
Sorry for not making myself clear. I want to disable that feature while retaining the others.

Is there anyway to reprogram it?

    Thanks

The procedures on how to program remotes to the alarm are in the instructions. The keyless is a different story. I'll ask the factory for programming procedures.

What do you mean by "auto locking"? - iF you are referring to an auto "re-lock" -? I don't think your term are correct - I've installed dozens of the kind of alarms. Or me a flavor - PM me or the OP.

But with this setup - you'll get extra features. So it's better.
No no, I want to install the alarm, but without the auto-locking feature. IE, all the features, except that one.
