Thank you! Been waiting for this. Any chance of when you get the prototype if you can get the measurement of the flange to outter most pipe distance. and how far down pipes go from bottom of flange? If that makes sense. I plan to get a manifold for my m20b29 turbo build to replace this adapter i have And I would love to rock yours if it fits in a 2002.

          Nice flange ;)

This should be good. A budget-oriented heavy duty manifold.

As far as ix, the engine is leaned over more than RWD (hence the ix booster working in 24v swaps).

isn't the strut tower different as well creating restrictions?

Have you ever put headers or a RWD shift carrier in an ix and see what happens? Had a client in my shop not too long ago that did both (prior to us meeting) and wondered why his shifter was tilted, and his headers rubbed the frame ;)

I have not, but I'm really pretty sure the motor is not tilted any differently.

Edit: Now this is just words off of the internet, but it comes from Nando and it's about an iX so it's likely correct. Here's the quote from e30tech

I believe all M20s are clocked at 20 degrees (it's not just chance that you got that, that is actually the angle BMW chose). The M50 I think might be 30 degrees - I knew at one point, but I don't remember right now.

I don't think the ix is clocked differently. I do think the engine sits closer to the firewall than a RWD E30.
Here's the link to the thread: i vs iX angle

Maybe this is why the headers rub. I'm sticking by my story. Same angle.

Edit #2: Sorry for the thread jack, but someone was wrong on the internet…:ST1G:

Thanks for all the interest guys. Ended up making it very similar to my 24V and M30 manifolds. Reason being is that, it just works, and works very well. No need to reinvent the wheel here. There are cars running 9sec with 700+hp with this design.

So they will be made to accept both T3 & T4 with a single 44mm v-band wastegate provision, easy plug access. Made from schedule 10 304 stainless with 1/2 flanges. Non twin scroll.
Need to test fit for wastegate final placement on a ix and also in a 525i.

                            Dude, that looks great!

no issues with IX engine mount or half shaft from what i can see.

                            ETA?
