It's a rough estimate but yes, I think it would be around $5 or 6k installed and running. $6k would account for the extra headaches of an S52, $5k is the ballpark for an S50 and M5x could be progressively cheaper still based on the cost of the motor. This is one of the perks of working with a professional shop, we'll actually make it all work!Last edited by Fidhle007; 01-25-2010, 08:50 AM.'89 325is S50 Track Montser

3rd gear, I walked a coworker's 335i. It's a steptronic car, so that may have had something to do with it, but all he had to do was mash the gas, so skill is not a factor here. He doesn't know my car is swapped - once he caught up and pulled along side, the look on his face was pricelsss.a stock 335 would take a stock s50- e30. I thought a e30 s50 swap would take this old man out in a new 535ixt until I got put in my place, and no I didn't tell my customer.

ps it was from a light and traction was a bit of a issue to note. e30 had zf trans and 325 diff.

I really don't understand why you are so confused about this:

 335i
 Curb weight: 3571
 HP: 300
 Power/weight ratio: 11.90

 332is (my car)
 Curb weight: 2720
 HP: 266
 Power/weight ratio: 10.25

From a standstill, a M3 or 335i or whatever will get away from us cause they have traction aides and wider tires.

^^^ Yes.Yes way, and not just once, and not a "well maybe he was a lousy driver" situation. I ran several 335i coupe/sedans in my 3liter 318is with favorable results. I didn't have a slapped together swap with a junkyard 3litre, the engine was a blueprinted build and even with stock cams, it had a very aggressive horsepower curve even past 7000. I would have put that car against any stock 335i/135i anyday, from any speed, especially sustained high gear pulls.I Timothy 2:1-2Comment
