There is a HUGE O ring right where the body meets the engine. If you get it misaligned it will fail and it will all blow up.

Does anyone else know if I am missing a cord to the DME I don't see anything unless the cord is in the plug part of the harness which is under the manifold. I am using a g260/ e36 flywheel and e36 starter

also does the check eng light come on when you turn the key on?

that would indicate that the dme is not getting power, check your main power relay (white one, 5 terminal one)

Okay made a jumper and checked it still nothing. Maybe I have a bad DME?

What did you jumper?

I honestly have forgotten if the main relay gets the "on" signal from the DME or if it gets power from the ignition, which energizes the DME.

yes but how did you jumper it? did the relay click when you ground the brown wire. or did you run 12V+ power to the red/white wires(2total)

I put a bent paper clip in the 85 and 86 slots and yes I can hear it click when I did that

tried a new working ecu and still no CEL light in any position and doesnt turn over. Does anyone have a picture of the actual cord that powers the ECU and the Ground to it?

Which wiring harness is it from. E36 or E34? That may help on finding the dme hottie
