Ive read the threads but there isnt a straight to the point explantion. So using doc block requires no modifications to the e30 lines?? As long as your not using a seiko seiki?
Reason im saying is im willing to purchase the min amount and resell if people are interested. I want my ac working because florida is too damn hot.Last edited by BDSax; 09-04-2011, 08:00 AM.

Just wanted to update the thread here on the hoses. I got mine done at the local NAPA for just a hair under 90 bucks. Had to have ends brazed on to make the hose sizes the same. Tried to do the splicer route, but ended up with hose sizes that were NOT compatible with the crimps (thin wall hose, non-standard sizes)
Vacuuming it down now, after a very easy install. will see how well it cools with the new compressor.
new update today:
Car runs great with cold AC. Idle is steady at 600rpm with ac on, and NO wire hookup (slight hesitation when coming to a stop, but no stall, and smooths out instantly). Total charge needed, just over 1.5 cans R134a.
Update 4/7/12:
Went ahead and fixed the bouncing idle with AC on. The slight hesitation from above did not get better, and started to nearly stall the car out when starting up.
Simple fix, take the wire from Pin 64 on the DME (other end goes to Pin 6 on X20) and connect it to C136 inside your glove box (at least on mine) this is a violet/black wire that ORIGINALLY went to your DME for the M20 you have replaced.
I did not fish the wire out of the main harness at the DME, I instead ran a jumper to X20 at the swap harness. I dont like digging into a harness and possibly getting the wrong damn wire.
During test drive, the car still has a slight idle bounce when coasting, but is smoothing out with miles driven (adapting) Idle is 650 RPM AC on or off, easy peasy, lemon squeezy, took about 20 minutes to hook up.Last edited by scottinAZ; 04-07-2012, 11:56 AM.

I went with welded ends and dave and I do that to all the customer cars, no complaints and no worrying if the machinist crimped the ends right. We've been tossing the idea around about having people send in their E30 A/C lines and we get the new ends and weld them and ship them back out for a flat rate. We're just unsure if there would be enough people for it.
