Ha yeah I know. I usually assume that everyone here doesnt just drive their car hard at the drag strip, so I like to think that when you say you have wheelspin it is on the street as well as the strip.

I've been thinking the same thing after all of these posts I've seen. With 225/50 RS2's my car has no wheel-spin issues in 1st from a roll and will only fight traction with a hard shift into 2nd if I want it to. The car only spins the tires if that's what I want to do, I have no problems with traction..

I've got a hotted-up S52. I have got to get it out to the 1/4 mile track, these times just dont sound right to me. We'll see.

my 16s i have on my car right now arnt bad there kind of sticky i still spin threw first an second on the street. Same tires. mine arent that soft that i can leave a mark with my finger nail

hmm i need to buy some better tires for my 15 i know hankook rsII suck. they are hard.

They are only hard when they are old. They are a 200 treadwear tire, very soft compound. Mine are brand new and I can leave an indention in the tread with a fingernail.

What the hell are you guys using for tires, no-name brand 70k tires with 80 psi?

With any somewhat decent summer tire, you shouldn't have any wheelspin from a roll in second gear.

With a decent launch, 2.0 or so 60', you'll be low 13's for sure.

Why do I feel that I should be in the 13's? I just read through this thread and all you guys in the 13's are running a much lower trap speed than me... ?

Yea, for an m50 powered e30 it is. It's not slow for a 13.9.

A 24v e30 is not a supercar- most family sedans for sale today make more power.

I use my old 15 w/ 205 50 hankooks with 15psi. never tried launching from second gear Ive oly been to the track twice. I dont race this car its my dd so i dont try and beat on it. Ive only ran it for fun. I haven played with my launches.

I want to see that time slip justin. I just don't believe that an m50 can pull that kind of trap speed unless its been heavily lightened or you have something else under your hood.

I pulled a 15.5 ninety-something in my M50tu. That was my best time on a warm day, slippery track. 195 tires.

First time at the strip, though.

hmm. man i have major wheels spin also on an off idle launch i cant do anybetter than a 14.8 still. I shocked your run that launching at 2500. I ran an 16 when i lauched at 1500because i leteraly when nowhere threw 3rd. Your tires must be somewhat good.
