so i havne't been keeping up with this thread, it's been 4yrs since i swapped in my NV M50 and still havne't taken it to the drap strip. I'm too lazy to read through all of this, anyway you NV M50 guys, can you PM me your times and specs, pretty please?

Justin that's great for a 2.5. Do you shift with the gas pedal on the floor?

I lift to shit. I have done flat footed shifting but didn't net any difference, so why ruin the tranny.

Justin is bye far the fastest n/v m50.

I ran a 14.8 the one time I went. But I had didnt have my speed sensor hooked up and had a vacuum leak on the booster. Im go again soon. after I fixed the vaccum leak I can take my brothers lt1 formula its a 14.4 second car.

well in an effort to be lazy i ended up scrolling through more pages than i wanted to haha. I'll just have to wait for next year to run my car. I'll be damn happy if i can break 14s, i've never driving on a drag strip before. here's my setup

NV M50
dinan chip
k&n cone intake with heatshield
uuc pulleys
fan clutch delete
obd2 manifolds
obd2 down pipes
single 2.5in exhaust to a magnaflow cat to a 18in long mangaflow muffler
and royal purple oil for that extra hp increase haha

g260 and 3.73lsd

You trapped over 100mph.

My best run was 95mph. With slicks and a 3.73 LSD. Dumping the clutch at 3k+ and zero wheelspin. Vanos m50, g260. Dinan chip, CAI, headers, 2.5" single w/ high flow cat/muffler.

My buddy's chipped, AA intake/exhaust 97 M3 traps 97mph.



I'm not saying you are lieing or anything, but something is up with that motor. It is not a typical 170-180whp m50. MPH is a function of power/weight, with little to do with driver ability (unless you really suck). There's no reason, with longer gearing and shitty tires, and a lack of vanos, that you would be trapping 5mph faster then me.

Yea, it was junk lol. Smoked bad on decel smoked on accel...now that i think about it i never really didn't smoke! I really wanted to dyno it but never had to money to do it. I wanted the kid that bought it to dyno it but he dissapered off the face of the earth i think.

You said power:weight. maybe his was significantly lighter? :dunno:

Naw... we already went over this. I had the tar in the trunk removed and the foam under the carpet. It was just a rediculously fun car... kinda wish I didn't sell it.
I just got mine rolling...too bad it is still under my power. My motor is sitting at my house and my car is sitting at my parents garage....
