how do you suggest doing that? reprogramming the DME from scratch? :p

It's only a problem when the MAF is too small for the given airflow and the signal starts to max out. The MAF wouldn't be able to read higher anyway, even if it was frequency based. I'm not convinced it's really better regardless, BMW could easily use that system if they wanted to, but they've continued with a 5v signal instead. The resolution of the signal has more to do with the speed and quality of the ADC input than how many volts or what type of system it is, anyway.

That was mostly a joke, I know it wouldn't be easy... BUUUUUT GM went to a 58x trigger wheel across the board in '05/'06ish ;-)

The frequency signal isn't susceptible to corrosion in the contacts or the other ravages of age... and it just plain is more accurate across a wider range of signal ;-)

Went from headers/stock midpipe to bigger headers merging to a 3". This is the culprit for the torque loss.

Stock cams? Pullies/flywheel? Stock TB? 91 oct?

              Which headers, Turner Shorties?

247whp without gutting the bottom end AND keeping cats is damn impressive. And tempting.

Schricks IIRC, originally stock headers/midpipe then to ebay headers and some 3" midsection. 93oct.

E46 M3 VF SC 6psi IC kit. VF Tuned vs Our retune. VF apparently doesnt see the need to alter factory vanos maps as well as overfueling like hell. Also BOV or something is freaking out up top. Boost falls off at ~7500.
I'd be pissed if my m3 was fast until 7500 rpm then fell on its face!

I @$$ume that a '96 non-Vanos M62 DME would be easier to tune than an OBDI M60/M62 DME.

                        Is this correct?
