I have an S50 in my car. I'm using the cast exhaust manifolds, a 95 M3 cat and an E36 Remus catback exhaust. I had a local muffler shop build the transition from the exit of the exhaust manifolds into the cat.

The car gives off a raspy growl. I really like the sound.

I don't have any good photos but I have a couple of videos that give you an idea of the sound.

Ill try to get pics tomorrow (today?), but I had my system made up custom with Vibrant parts and a magnaflow cat.

    From the engine back,
Ported to exhaust gasket size on the head and,
OBD2 manifolds, front one shortened a little and the bend turned away from subframe.
2" down pipes to magnaflow universal cat, dual 2 in, 2.5 out
    2.5" v-band clamp
Vibrant resonator "Ultra Quiet Resonator, 2.5" inlet/oulet" 1141
Vibrant muffler "STREETPOWER Oval Muffler w/ Dual 3.5" Round Tips (2.5" inlet)" 1040

Yes, it sounds quiet as only ONE HUNDRED pounds of factory exhaust can sound...

This was taken as a "before" video. I'm working on a new one that will hopefully be much lighter and sound only slightly louder.

X2 Vibrants are very loud. I've had my Vibrant at the end of my system, with 5 different piping/center muffler/resonator set-ups, and they've all been loud. I love the tone it gives, but it took a while to figure out the perfect set-up that was loud, but still street-able.

Built this thing Saturday and I couldn't be happier with the sound. Believe it or not, its quieter than than the stock center section/manifolds at cruising speeds but absolutely screams at heavy throttle over 4k rpm. No drone whatsoever. Incredible sound and huge weight savings, too. I need to tweak a couple things to get it up a little closer to the body, but overall it rocks. I'll try to snap some pictures this week.

Going to try and get it on the dyno at some point this week to see what the gains were.

not on yet, will be going on when car is turbo. Car will have no mid pipe muffler or cat. Just a three inch pipe from that turbo back. Muffler will be flat black to make it more discrete.

The turbo is a rebuilt egay t70 with some name brand internals.

Never did post up the Vibrant. Nothing under the car, maybe later. Good thing is the trans comes out without the exhaust getting in the way.

want to remove the convertor for another muffler, just a little too loud for me right now
