          Yeah, I know what motors came in what. I'm just wondering cuz I know mine's higher than 2 inches and that's w/ the Ireland stage 3's on it w/ 535 mounts.

          As for shimming, its just putting a washer or piece of metal underneath the motor mount to tweak the placement up higher on that side.
          actually its kinda funny you mentioned that... i realized that if you pull of the rail that plugs into the injectors it gives you some room to get your hand in there.

          my hands are relatively thin so im actually able to get in there from the intake side and slap the nut on and then use a 3/8 with a u-joint from the exhaust side.

            Thanks for all the support. Dude, the feeling feels oh so good. I got my e34 m50 throttle cable today, welded my obd2 exhaust manifolds shut also welded the o2 bungs closed, got my obd1 midpipes (without cats) from a good seller SQ bimmer. Man, I should be able to actually drive this thing. LOL.

              Hrm, so I took it out for a little 5 min drive today... Damn is all I could say... I didn't floor it obviously because I'm just doing a ritual break in period since its been a while since this motor has ran.

              One thing that concerns me is that half way through the 5 min drive my CEL came on. Anyone know how to check this and what codes its throwing? I'm 80% sure its the o2 sensor as I tried to use the oem sensors from the s52 and spliced and matched them with the obd1 harness. Anyone know which wires go to which?

              e36 s52 o2 sensors - Yellow, Red, White, Black
              e36 s50 o2 sensor harness end - 2 whites, Black, Gray

              If anything I'm going to use my o2 sensor from my m20 and reset the dme and see if the check engine light comes on. Tomorrow to the muffler shop to get this shit quiet. Way too loud with midpipes without cats with no muffler lol.

                          Are you using any resonaters, or just strate pipes? Sick build bro...

                            Using obd1 midpipes that had the cat cut clean out of them (Thanks SQ bimmer on bf.c.). So I'm going to weld straight pipes to cover the gap where they cut the cat so I could bolt up my stock 325i muffler for now (below the cats are resonators so yes I'll be running resonators). Would this pose any issues with back pressure? Anyone see any problem running 4 resonators, two on each pipe and no muffler?

                                The Euro e36 exhaust system? The obd1 s50 US works perfectly fine on an e30. But I would have to say no for the headers as the s52b32 US has clearance issues with the subframe/swaybar. I could be wrong... people use euro headers on s52/50s so I really don't know. Anyone car to chime in?

                                But essentially if your cutting it and rewelding you should be fine.
