Maybe 1 - 2 miles. Going to pull the tranny as a last resort...

Dont worry about pulling the tranny. I made a simple mistake of not putting the clutch release bearing in the first time. So I had to pull it again but atleast I got to use a lift..

Not putting the clutch release bearing in? lol... That's something big too forget. The noise went away... but now is only present while in gear with negative load (engine braking/down shifting). Can anyone chime in?

How did you plug your e30 temp sensor in? Did you tap the head?

No I used the zionville adapter. I didnt want to tap the head so I ended getting that adapter. You have to run a decent size ground wire off it though.

Would a blue top sensor (ecu temp sensor) work for the e30 gauge? I know the answer is no.... but how accurate would it be? Would the cluster even read it?

Yea, I wonder if it works. People say that the black sensors don't work but I'm wondering if the blue sensors are anymore accurate? Because since I'm not running coolant lines to my t-body the size of the whole that one is the same size as the blue top sensors for the ecu. Can anyone chime in?

So basically you're running zoinville adapter with one side blocked off? And it reads accurately? I highly doubt that's accurate.

measure the resistance on both sensors side by side...e30 cluster (temp gauge) is designed with a specific range in mind (e30 sensors), now what i am wondering though is when you use one of the adapters instead of tapping the head, is that you probably want some good flow of coolant to read correctly..

It doesnt really matter sence I have another temp guage in my car. I dont really trust the cluster one anyways.

I think the brown single pole sensor is the one for the guage cluster? I believe that is the one you need to use.
