Interesting... only thing is I checked everything with a straightedge and the intake manifold wasn't warped.

But I can tell you one thing... THE CAR RUNS AGAIN. Well it seems like I don't know what the fuck I did... but it obviously worked... Its weird because I didn't do anything but connect everything back the same way... Just put a little bit of permatex on every gasket for safety precautions and it worked out. I still have a slight hissing but All I could say is my power is back and everything is running smooth even with hfm connected.

To take the tranny off and double check everything. I have a slight noise when down shifting and using the engine to slow my car down (negative load) and its annoying me. So I want to get that out of the way so my subconscious mind could rest at ease.

If you would have done what I said a few post ago you would have found your problem already.

I did do your suggestion e30this. Idle didn't jump or anything. Sprayed the icv vacuum lines, injectors, intake manifold part where it mates with the head, and all that I could spray.

Oh well, I love losing traction on second gear. =) Going to take the tranny off today and buy a complete clutch kit just to get rid of all the transmission defects. Going to change whatever is possible in there to change that usually wears, specially that plastic nipple that holds the shift fork with the metal retainer.

                Is it a clicking noise?

Its a screeching noise. A really high pitched screeching noise.

Only happens when I have negative load on the tranny or when I push the clutch all the way to the floor. I put a lot of grease on everything before I slapped the tranny on... would that be the problem? I put grease on the bearings but that's about it....

Nice job, wish I could do something like this but I have such limited mechanical knowledge. Swapping a differential is about the biggest job I've done.

Throw-out bearing? You can also replace the part that the throw-out bearing rides on. You need to remove it to change the front seal anyway. I can't remember-are you using a ZF?

The wiring isn't confusing at all. You just gotta really learn (which doesn't take long) how to read the ETM manuals. I'm willing to help you if you decide to do a swap. Just let me know.

Ha. That's where everyone starts. I started out doing generic intakes on Hondas (6 years ago). So, it really doesn't take much knowledge, more like common sense. Like I told BMWZ318is, I'm here if you get stuck. I'll be writing a full bolt to wire detail about my swap once I get done with everything and feel that its more reliable than my m20 before I took it out.

I'm using a ZF transmission. Front seal? Are you talking about the shaft seal that sits behind the shift fork that the throw-out/release bearing sits on? Throw-out bearings would really make a noise either in neutral or a gargling/grumbling noise when pressing it. Its hard to explain what I'm experiencing with this transmission bell housing at the moment. I've honestly changed a lot of clutches and never had I've never heard this sound before. I've heard shot throw-out bearings, pilot bearings, felt slipping clutches and even experienced a pressure plate braking the bolts off then rattling within the bell housing; but never this.

Only when I remove the transmission will I know what's happening in there. It'll most likely be tomorrow morning. Gotta go disco disco tonight at Blvd. 3 tonight in Hollywood. Lol.

I'll be posting up pictures of my complete yet not 100% stamp of approval car.

Don't mind the intake, still haven't bought a 3.5" intake. I will soon.

I'll post a video soon, maybe tomorrow 0 - 60. =) Just so you guys see.
