it's not a 525ix pan, there's one guy doing a swap with that, and unless you are doing a lot of custom stuff it's useless. usually you modify the ix pan to fit the 24v block.
there's a few swap threads on E30 tech too, it's been done more than once for sure.Comment

it's not complicated, you cut and weld the front part of an E36 pan onto the ix pan.
