Well that's worthless. No pictures of the pan area? wtf...

What pan did he use? E34 525iX?

it's not a 525ix pan, there's one guy doing a swap with that, and unless you are doing a lot of custom stuff it's useless. usually you modify the ix pan to fit the 24v block.

there's a few swap threads on E30 tech too, it's been done more than once for sure.

A 24v iX is a alot of custom work. Unless you get the Racing Dynamics head.

IMO there is a definite market for an aftermarket solution to the oil pan problem. A group buy at least!

it's not complicated, you cut and weld the front part of an E36 pan onto the ix pan.

did I already say it's been done many times already? :p

Would it be possible to just use the 330ix pan and do an s54? Would 330ix 5 lug suspension stuff work? An AWD s54 e30 would be sick.

I have an ARE M50 dry sump oil pan I bet you could use to easily do a 24v iX swap if you don't mind going dry sump.... http://www.drysump.com/pan18.htm Part No. 1254
