        Shipping them is the hard part, you have to ship them special.

        The packing beans cause static electricity and can possibly set the airbag off or somthing like that.

              Non-airbag steering columns are designed to collapse in an accident to reduce the chance of getting impaled by the column.

              Airbag columns on the other hand stay rigid to support counterforce of the airbag deployment.

              If you put a non-airbag steering wheel, you should also put a non-airbag column.

                Removed my airbag wheel as well. My wheel was shedding chunks of leather and I was always worried about that old airbag. Much happier now.

                    I believe the steering wheel is designed with this already in mind.
