So if we want something more white then 4K? In their chart for the spectrum the 6K are supposed to be white with a hint of blue, but yours are more blue than white right? A lil blues cool but this upgrade is to see better at night. Thanks.

Heres a pic of my old lighting setup for you guys interested!

They were actually more white than they look in the picture, with a hint of blue and looked great at night!

        Setup:
        Headlights: US ellipsoids
Low beams- DDM 55w 6k HIDs
Fogs- DDM 35w 3k HIDs (dont do 55w fogs, horrible idea)

On that note, will the 55w require additional wiring work or can the stock harnesses handle it (i'm awful with wiring)?
for the 55w kits, you hook the ballast's to the battery directly, or to the power block on the firewall. it all comes as a prewired kit, fully insulated and with decent quality connecters.

i have the 55w 5000k hi-lo kit in my e28 with the hella h4 conversions. light is VERY bright white. hint of blue when first turned on, but goes away in 5-10 seconds.

on second thought, maybe the battery connection is for the hi-low switching action....

Just have to ask - why not 55w fogs? You left out the reason why.

I've had 55w HID fogs for over two years no, not a single problem.

Any melting problems with US ellipsoids and 55w kits?

                      Thanks.

Just an FYI, the 55w slim ballast kits are back in stock, as well as the 35w Raptor kits. Ordered a 55w 6k for my lows and a 35w 5k for my fogs today.

HID operational temps are much lower than halogen.

just thought i'd chime in... had my DDM 55w 5k lows & 35w 3k fogs installed today. it was freezing outside so i only snapped these crappy pics...

very satisfied with them so far. i can't believe i actually drove with the shitty stock lighting for so long. wish i would've done it sooner.
