Just got my $49 35w 5k and they ended giving me the slim kit. No complaints yet. I'll take a pic a little later.

I ordered the 55w apexcone kit about a month ago. I was considering getting a set for my lowbeams, but now I'll just wait. :D

That double sided tape is pretty much junk. On the passenger side my ballast is snug in the bracket that held the windshield washer fluid. On the driver side the ballast is zip tied.

                      So, I need some input.

Going backwards, starting from the bulb. Use the pic for reference.

RED = Bulb, well that's obvious, goes in headlight, followed by the rubber gasket, and then to two connectors.

Those two connectors plug into their respective connectors circled in GREEN

That leads to the ignitor (little box) and then on to the ballast.

Out of the ballast is another connector, circled in BLUE. This, i assume, is supposed to plug into your cars' existing wiring. Since I ordered H1's, i am guessing that is what this additional harness is for, circled in PURPLE, which would connect into BLUE, with the two spade terminals on PURPLE connecting to my H1 connectors that were spliced into my car for the Euro Ellips.

                      Does this all sound right???

Sounds to me, i should just find a connector to plug directly into BLUE (the ballast), and ditch this extra adapter harness (PURPLE)

This way, i also wouldn't have to run 4 wires into the headlight cap, just the two for the bulb.

That being said, what are those plugs? (To plug into BLUE) 9005, 9006???

                      Thanks for any input.

I cut that rubber grommet thing apart to free the wires. I really don't get that setup. I used the power harness they gave and wired them to a relay. It is a 9006 plug if you want to plug it directly into your lowbeams.

You guys are going about it all wrong.
                            1) Cut the male connectors off of the purple harness.
                            2) Pull the purple harness out of the gromet
                            3) Solder and shrink wrap the the purple harness to your factory harness
                            4) Plug in and enjoy.

And i always mount the ballast out of site like underneath the car by the horns and a/c drier.

Stupid question but by "purple harness" do you mean the one in the little purple circle or the two wires in the big purple circle.... haha sorry never done this before. Just trying to get informed.
