    E30 Manual windows

Could not upload tutorial to revlimited… many photos would not fit on a single post. Google doc was created but was told quality of photos was not good… found a YouTube video e36 manual window conversion and the process is very similar where you only need to swap the electric motor for the manual crank gear mechanism!

Would love to see a writeup!
I'm a fan of crank windows.

Actually your post prompted me to order some Shin-Etsu grease for my Miata's crank windows. They've been sticky/hard to crank for far too long!

Also interested! It's hard to find manual regulators here in USA.

My M3 was converted to manual with parts from I think the only car to have power windows as an option in the US, 84-85 318i. I was going to switch back to electric but decided to keep it manual as a nod to the past. It is kinda cool to have as not many people expect it.

I'm bumping this. You posted the write up on a couple FB pages, but then took it down. What happened?

Good thing I made a copy of it ;)
I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

Depending on the vintage of the car, it can be pretty easy to do... the cable regulators are already set up for a crank.
