      yep, the parts on mine look like the before pics. I'll try this out.

        i'm sold if this can remove cosmoline for good on plastic pieces, my car has a healthy dose of it on plastic bits that I want gone forever.

                        Cosmoline

                        You can get cosmoline off metal using Oven Cleaner...just spray it on, wait a few minutes and scrub a bit with one of those green scrubbers. It works great on steel in the engine compartment but I don't know how it will react with aluminium so test that first.

                                I just applied it to the plastic around the wipers. ill check back in after some time.
