So full of win. I want to modernize my early model without totally losing the early 'is look, my valence is off for the winter after an incident involving some poorly plowed roads, so maybe now is the time. I guess I'll start looking for a plastic front bumper. Is there anything of note that will be different with this process, as far as fitting a plastic bumper with an early 'is valence on an early car? I know the front bumper is a plug & play deal, but can I use the OEM mounting brackets, or will the valence not sit flush with the bumper if I go this route?Originally posted by DozyproductionsYou know why you're drinking that Pabst? No its probably not because it was the first beer you grabbed. It's because you're a winner.Comment

its a drift car dude, i like that i can take of bumper off in like 30 seconds and but in back on in like 2 minutes. if it was my daily or a show car i would definitely have it mounted up correctly.:up:84 318i drift car

you do realize the bumper comes off with 2 bolts when mounted correctly, right? 30 seconds off, 30 seconds onComment

i guess im looking at it as ease of access. at track event if i need the bumper in a hurry, all i need is some cutting pliers and snip snip snip, the bumper is off. instead of having to get on the floor with a ratchet and unscrew the bolts. plus if im in that much of a hurry in between runs i can just keep the bumper off, untill im ready to put it back on. i understand where you are coming from and like i said before, if it was a daily or show car it would be mounted correctly, but its not.84 318i drift car
