Brodeo.... my god. I am in. Thanks for the heads up on my springtime goals.
There is also a springtime meeting literally this weekend. Cant make it but now I know to check. Thanks!

MS does seem expensive... but my god the plug and play is so worth it. I probably spent 300-400 my first time around buying a used one and splicing everything into a relay board to make it work. You know, just in case I ever wanted to go back?

I then spent probably $10,000 in hours trying to figure out what the hell I had soldered wrong, or what connection was loose, or why 1/2 my injectors were just open 100% of the time spraying fuel onto my turbo and melting my cat (cracked relay board, heh).

It was a great learning experience sure, but once you call Keith you never want to go back.

Is "twin-charging" anything like "night crawlers"? If so then yes.

Mmmk, a couple more questions. When I go from coasting to super light throttle, I see the AFR flash quickly to 17-18 for just a blink, then down to 13.xx for the rest of the acceleration. Is this bad? Also, now at just enough throttle to maintain speed, I'm at AFR 15.3-5. No surging, no pinging. Are these numbers dangerous? And finally, when decelerating, AFRs are in the 12-13 range. Normal?

Twin charging is a turbo and a supercharger on the same motor.

At light throttle, no. Do the engine buck, snort or hesitate?
Basically, the problems with lean mixture relate to either detonation or exhaust temperature. Detonation can be detected immediately (assuming you have the equipment). Just a blink to a lean mixture does not give exhaust temperature enough time to damage anything (you probably couldn't even detect that on an EGT probe, if you were running one).

Sounds fine... as long as the engine has enough torque and is responsive to throttle inputs, that's fine.
Does the MS have DFCO (Deceleration Fuel Cut Off)? I vastly prefer aggressive DFCO settings over continuing to inject fuel on overrun/deceleration.

+1 and if you start trying to leaning out the lower VE bins on decel it messes with your free rev AFRs

It does have it under extended > overrun fuel cut

Got it, that worked great. I need to change the high point and low point RPMs and the % of throttle but that totally fixed the rich deceleration.

This thing has such nice torque. Say you're turning off of a 45mph road onto a 30 mph road. You'd normally downshift to second. It wants to be in third. I've tried to shift into the imaginary 6th gear a few times. Now bare in mind, I still have the 4.10 rearend in it from before the SC project (and will put my 3.73 back in asap). But still, I can't wait to put the smaller pulley on there and have a actual pro dyno tune it.

And yeah, I'll get some video for yous once my kids are back with their Momma on Saturday afternoon.

So what shots are you wanting? 3rd gear pull, 4th? 0-60?

                Yes.

And add 0-100 to that list.

And take me for a ride while doing all of it.

Doh. Ninja edit fail. Didn't mean to quote myself.

Chris, Idk if I can get away with a 0-100mph. Is there anywhere I could do it and be safe from Johnny-Law?

Not the car, the interference and business.

I think I'm gonna hook the cruise control back up tomorrow. I miss it.

And you know how I bragged in the beginning about how I would be keeping a/c and power steering? Full disclosure, I haven't quite done that. I do still have power steering, but I will need to have another pulley welded to the back of the m50 crank pulley in order to get the a/c functioning. I can save up for that though. Where do you get a pulley balanced? It's aluminum, will it even matter?

Maybe this, just cut out the center.

Ran it with Chris (Agent) and Zach (Idk r3v name) today. She did good. all mechanicals worked properly. I had a smidge of belt slippage and intake temps seemed highish, but overall, really had a blast. Me and Chris did a couple of 4th gear pulls on the interstate and he handed my ass to me, so I take back what I said about it being similar to an S5x. Chris has a cammed m52 swap (I'm not sure about any other mods).

I'm real proud of her. I gotta hook up that intercooler...

Uhh, whoops... I was in 3rd. I don't hit 6k in 3rd until about 85mph so I figured we were going for it. When you held up the four fingers I thought you were confirming to go on honk #4.

That just means we'll have to do it again soon.
