Been done with a Schrick 336 and 6 down-drafts, over 275 at the wheels

edit: Pretty sure that was done by some guys in Germany in '87 or '88, just as a test to get max HP, not a realistic/practical setup by any measure. The carbs stuck out of the hood

if a 2.9 stroker was highly efficient, this would translate to 197.2hp

assuming you can pull off the details with great efficiency, in order to reach 300hp N/A on an m20 by just liter-age, you would need to bore and stroke it to 4.4+ liters.

Yeah, except the stroke would be so long that the engine would be redlining at 2000rpm. No more 300hp then.

metric mechanic claims 260+hp w/ their 3.2 rally sport engine. Add ITB's and some stand alone fuel and spark i think it could get interesting, but i still don't think you could hit 300hp, it sure would be a fun motor though.

Word on the street is that those are hand grenades.

10.5 compression, so I assume you want pump gas, no way in hell. Balls out you might get 250, but it wouldn't last long.

Yea, and I've yet to see a dyno of one of these "3.2"s' anyhow.

hmm if i paid 10k for a hand grenade, i'd be pissed when it blew up.

i'd also like to see a dyno run.

I'm shooting for at least 200 crank hp and slightly more torque with my motor. That's entirely realistic and not hard to achieve. 300rwhp is for turbo M20s only!
