    M20 AFM Delete pipe w/bung?

Don't tell to search please. I searched Megasquirt, MS2, AFM delete, AFM delete pipe, tube hose etc. and I can't find how people are replacing the AFM? Is there somewhere to buy a pre-fab pipe to go from the intake boot to the stock airbox with a bung for the GM IAT sensor? or should I just buy a 3" pipe somewhere and have someone weld a bung on?

something like this i found for the M30: https://e28goodies.com/product/%D0%B...e-temp-sensor/

There isn’t an off the shelf solution.

Your IAT sensor should come with a bung.

Buy this and take it to a fab shop to have it sized to length and bung welded on.

I put a bit of aluminium pipe pipe to replace the AFM, 2.75" as posted above. cheap as for a lenght. cut it to size and just slide it in where the AFM was.

Here is a poor photo of my engine bay showing the pipe,

Then I got a GM IAT from at the wreckers that was in the airbox on that car. I drilled a hole in the bmw airbox and just glued the IAT to the side of the airbox, been there for years.

It was one of these IATs came off a holden commodore here, just glued it to the e30 airbox. If i was doing a turbo car id put it in the intake pipe, but for NA i see no issue with it in the airbox.

Just grab a bung and sensor from DIY, take it to a local welder and it will be short change. I do that stuff all the time at work.

Thanks guys. I read on Miata forums they were JB welding the sensor inside the airbox pre-filter. no need to even use the bung. So I'll do what e30 davie did with the 2.75" aluminum pipe.

Update: going turbo so not doing what I said above. using ForcedFirebird's advice and getting it welded on the intake tube I buy after getting the IAT from DIYAutotune
