Yea like Fever said, i dont think am qualified to do my valves. I rather have someone with experience do it. Unfortunatly it wasnt the case for this guy, am never taking my car to him again. Plus after the block rebuild, i will need to do a 700 mile break in period. So i will wait till then for my next valve adjustment.

no that wasnt the case for this guy. He had my car for 3 days and still managed to screw it up.

I have some research on chips, and it came down to Mark D. Am torn inbtween the 14 and the 19lbs chips. Would it be worth it to convert to 19lbs setup? I got 3 brand new 14lbs injectors, and i dont want to throw them away.

Stock M20's in good shape are like 155whp, if yours is in good shape, I'd say 165-175whp. Only because of the cam.

155whp is pretty damn good shape. Like, probably in the upper ranges of "just rebuilt from the ground up" shape.

those mods won't really create the need for more fuel

I know that, but with the cams and port/polish delivering more air, dosnt it make sense to run bigger injectors?

                      Not if you're properly tuned.

Seriously, why are you not adjusting your own valves? A retarded monkey is certified to adjust M20 valves...

Thats why am getting the chip programed for the 19 pound injectors...

And for the valve adjustment, some things i rather have done by someone with previous experience.

You missed my point. If you're properly tuned for stock injectors, going big shouldn't be needed.

As for the valves, how do you think we get our previous experience?

Step one: Grab a 10mm box wrench, a valve tool, some feeler gauges and your Bentley manual and start understanding how your motor works!

                          Step two: Don't break anything.

Step three: Celebrate with locally brewed IPA or something and realize that that wasn't that hard at all. 8)

he isn't going to be properly tuned for stock injectors with any off the shelf chip.. I'm unaware of anyone offering a stock tune for a schrick 288.

it's not a bad idea either, assuming he does get a chip for it. otherwise forget it.

I meant get a custom tune or a WAR chip. I doubt he'll need more then stock injectors if it's tuned properly and isn't going to see anything over 7k rpm.
