I swapped out my m20b27 for a m20b25. I have everything hooked up(i think wiring is correct but not 100% sure) and there is no crank. What should i check first and if anyone has pictures of how the wiring should be that would be appreciated.

did you plug in the 3 wire connector that comes off the old eta wire harness? its like black green and white or something like that, in a off-white 3-pin molex connector.

Also something people tend to forget. Did you connect the main engine ground?Comment

If you used an engine harness made after 9/87 it will have two small wires in the vicinity of the starter solenoid. One is for the unloader switch in late starters and the other controls the solenoid. If you used the ETA starter it will only have one small lug on the solenoid and if the wrong wire is connected the starter won't operate. And as MR 325 said, make sure the engine to chassis ground strap is connected. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

make sure the 3 prong plug next to the DME is connected if its a early (87) I harness. Like posted above, if your running a late model harness with the eta started you will have a un used wire "unloader" Make sure your harness is connected correctly. Did you ground the harness to the battery tray?
I have a e to i set up and using a 90 harness. Started up just fine once i figured out the stater issue.
But like I said, If your using a 87 early I harness its all PNP and should start the 1st try. Did you plug the CPS into the other matching plug?
