You did all the work in a apartment parking lot?

A shop put the rotating bottom end in the block and Bimmerheads took care of the head. I assembled the rest of the motor in my dining room and swapped it in the front parking lot. Its a townhouse court so maybe a little more easy than an apartment. And the exhaust was done at another shop.

Digger is right. I have obtained 223whp from 17lb injectors with hardly any increase in fueling over stock (413 dme on an s52). On another modified s52 I was able to get over 240whp on 24lb injectors.

Also, don't pay attention to the stock spec for the CPS. On the MS installs I have done, it likes the crank sensor closer factory spec. I tend to just get as close as I can without rubbing and have had good success with it.

I assume you used the 3bar "i" FPR, but if you had an eta 2.5bar one, it might explain why you're running out of fuel with those pinktops. They should still be like 20lb/hr @ 3bar, and 18ish at 2.5bar. That sounds like enough to me, but maybe it isn't?

Yup, doubled checked and I do have a 3.0 bar fpr installed. Came with the engine. Maybe moving the CPS closer could help and the break up in the graph was more a problem of this than fuel. I'll have to plug my laptop in and see how the settings and logs turn out.

would be nice to see an AFR trace, probably first step is to get that and see if what youre been told is true then start going through fuel system perhaps

A couple of copy and pasted posts from my members ride thread. I'm getting closer to 200!

                Following ForcedFirebird's advice...

Turns out the breakup in the dyno graph was caused by the CPS being too far away. Stock spec does not cut it, I moved it closer and the car revs powerfully up to 7300!!!!! Unsure if I would still need larger injectors but this change with the CPS made a huge difference and the car is even that much more wild to drive.

And then because I couldn't resist...

The local Pepboys had a dyno at their car show today so I figured why not toss the car on it. I told the guy to take it to 6800-7000 but he let off at 5000 because he said it felt weird. Watching it from the side, it sounded normal and driving home it had no problem going to 7k so I don't know what was up with him. Anyways I scanned and uploaded the graph...

                192hp with 202ft/lb lifting at 5000 rpms!

I know I still need to get an AFR trace of it and Im dragging my feet to keep moving with it but I feel good to have found the solution to one problem. More to come hopefully sooner than later.

thats exactly what I was thinking. My M52 uses the pink injectors and I put down 225whp. Im glad that didnt turn out to be the issue and Im really excited to see what this will put down at 6000rpms

still looks like some sort of ignition issue at the topend IMO

How can you see that from that graph? Is it because it gets a bit erratic?

just looks to get more erratic at the very topend, maybe its normal with zero smoothing though?
