The other day I replaced my diff(rebuilt 4.10 LSD with new diff bushing) and rear subframe mounts.
The change was very noticeable and the car felt very smooth without any jerk/clunk when changing gears.
Few weeks later I've replaced both CV axle because I was getting loud chattering noise from the rear end. However old CV axle was in pretty good shape and it turned out the noise was due to break-in period of the LSD.
Right after I replaced the CV axles, I noticed very slight jerk whenever I load/unload the car. In few weeks jerking got worse quickly and I've changed transmission mount as well. I also rocked my driveshaft to see if there's any play, but it was tight and guibo was in decent shape (although I saw few small rubber bits were chipped off from guibo)
New transmission mounts helped reducing jerking a lot, but I can still feel a bit of play when I load/unload.
Another symptom is small thunk noise from rear when I'm putting into 1st and 2nd gear. Even when the engine is off, I can make the noise by shifting into 1st. Not sure if this is related to my issue though.
So far I've replaced:
-rear subframe bushings
-transmission mounts
-Diff
-Diff bushings
-CV axles
I'm suspecting:
-Worn out CSB (I can't really see anything from under the car with all the exhaust on)
-Worn out U-joints
-Currently the m20 is little out of tune because I'm running 288 cam with chipped 153(91 octane & 7k redline) - needs new chip to accommodate the cam
-General ignition tune-up (they are about 3 years old)
-Fuel pump
