I have a red46 plate under my car and I love it. Looks sleek and is very strong. Install is pretty easy too

I can vouch for the Red46 plates as well. Well-made, very inexpensive for what they are, and fit is excellent. Plenty substantial for the street and light off-road. Hell, I use mine as a jacking point sometimes.

No, but people make suspensions that are the correct height so your oilpan isn't hitting stuff ;)

            But seriously:

Yes: There is a company that makes a dry sump kit for the M42. I don't recall who, but it's in Germany. Google it.

Also there is a company that makes steel lower oil pans to replace the aluminum stock one. They pretty much just sell to the RG318is rally series in Germany though. I may order one eventually if I can find the link again (it's all in German).

I'm not a stance kiddie, not having camber plates means the front gains a little bit of camber that seems to make it faster through the corners :D

Thanks for the link though. I seem to remember that someone round my way was making a shortened steel sump.
Don't know if I'm ready to go to dry sump yet, seems a little pointless at my level lol
