Small update: dropped off head at the machine shop yesterday, to get cleaned and get pressure tested, etc. Found a set of S52 pistons. They should be in by monday, and can finally take the block to get cleaned, bored and honed. While I wait, I'm starting to clean, paint, and clear parts to make the engine look clean.

Didn't work on it this weekend. Today I finally fished disassembly..will start looking around for a good machine shop in the northern VA area, any suggestions? that will do the boring on the block to 86.4mm to fit the S52b32 pistons.. CR target is 11.5:1 decking the pistons will be necessary. Oh and the VW lifters came in.

Today I finished disassembly, and did some more cleaning. Cylinder walls still look good on the block, cross marks are still there.

Didn't do much today, just more parts cleaning. The late M42 timing case should arrive Thursday.
