Hello everybody long time no post!
Last fall I installed the garagistic solid chassis mount shifter, dssr, and New shift linkage. When installing the shift linkage, I think I bent the detent and the transmission according to what the guys at garagistic told me after I describe my problem to them.
basically all of the gears have shifted to the right. First gear sits where third gear used to be, third gear sits where fifth used to be, and fifth gear is way the heck over in the passenger’s lap basically. it seems like this isn’t an unheard of problem in the BMW world; colloquially called fifth gear Lean.
I was wondering if anybody knew a part number for the detent pins for the transmission for the 240. In my Internet sleuthing, I’ve only really ever found detent pin kits for the E36, And never anything specifically saying that it’s for the e30.
I appreciate any and all help. attached are some recent pictures of Ruby since I haven’t put anything on the forums in quite some time. My family and I just moved out of the DFW area and into the Texas Hill country so the driving is going to be a lot better and is a lot more fun in Ruby 🤠
