    whats up w/ my lsd?

when i go hard in first and second i get a rumble from the passenger side. id say it sounds like a rolling-r (like in spanish when rr is pronounced -- alveolar trill for you linguistic peeps out there). it only happens for about a half second or less. ive got a 3.25 lsd from an e28. is this normal? whats the haps?

do you have an LSD additive in your diff oil? they will chatter if you put in straight diff oil with no friction modifiers.

Is it different when you are turning vs going straight?

thats what im leaning towards, had a mechanic swap the diff for me, not sure what they put in, i wanted a second opinion before i put in some redline

you can buy limited slip additive from redline. Somewhere I saw how much you're supposed to put in if it's been filled with straight gear oil.

are the friction modifiers necessary w/ 75w90? or are they present already/

RedLine 75w90 includes friction modifiers, Redline 75w90NS does not. I don't know about Royal Purple.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Not to take this topic off track, but I was looking at a couple threads about this same issue and some people were suggesting it could be the CSB. Either way Im getting under the car tomorrow to investigate
