The mounts are pretty simple to fabricate yourself also, just requires some time and patience..
(and S62 engines are getting pretty cheap also these days....)
Too many options, maybe I should just start a new project :D- E34 M5 (x 2) -

Just came across these on ebay, good headers to start with on a swap, no affiliation
Anything can be done

I respect that approach, Bruce. I'm not in any hurry, since the car is still in pieces anyway. Fingers crossed it works as you expect and we can benefit from your experiments. Post more pics, please, Lol! Unless you don't want to give away anything , since it is a track car...

I'm intrigued by the Wilwood pedal setup. Which exact pedals are you using, and how are you integrating them into the (non) structure of the car? After a couple of iterations, I'm pretty satisfied with the rigidity of our setup, and it retains the stock brake pedal. However, I'm always interested in a better mouse-trap.

Well...in the interest of getting this car on-track, I think modified stock manifolds will be the version 1 exhaust. Is there a material difference between the X5 and 540i manifolds? Can I use any of the e34/e32 manifolds that I have in-hand?

The pedal assembly is Wilwood's new adjustable pedal pad version, #340-11299. I don't know if you're aware, but my build has a full cage, so it's being tied into the dash bar, beneath/inside the dash. I'll use the remote reservoirs, mounted under the hood. Should be pretty painless and like I said, the adjustability should make it worthwhile. I'm still in the process of finishing the cage, so I don't have any pics of it installed yet, but I do have a pic of what inspired me to do it...
That's the V10 E30 M3 Piper Motorsports built a few years ago... same idea, different pedal assembly...

Bruce, I don't believe e32/e34 manifolds will clear like the X5 stuff. Possibly you can make e39 stuf work though...Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205
