I can't wait to drive this thing with manual steering and brakes lol. He's running a stock E30 rack. He probably won't be affected by the braking/steering though. Dude's got retard strength.

Lol I was asking more for the sake of hearing future feedback on how it all feels. I'm kind of toying with the idea of doing manual brakes and steering just to clean up the engine bay quite a bit, however I'm planning on an E36/7 rack. I cant wait to hear the reviews once this car is fully tuned and enjoyed!

It's a UNSPRUNG stg 1 e36 328i clutch kit from grip force, so far it engages fine and not as bad as I thought it would but I probably just need to really drive it

Sprung or unsprung doesn't affect how difficult the clutch is to drive... it only affects gear noise from the transmission.

Installed those today and set everything up to drive, went to go drive it and found out I had a shit ton of a coolant leak out of the valley pan and also out of bottom of the thermostat. Will be fixing them around noon todayBut as for the 2min drive I would say it was a tease of what's in store for me n this car lol

So the first drive was awsome, couldn't really go balls to the walls on it since it's untuned but being able to lose the rear of the car with a blurp of the throttle is amazing hahahah still have some issues to run through and check over but she is drivable

Now that I have it running still gotta sort through some things and I'm going to make another adapter cause I'm not favoring mine. But as soon as I iron out the kinks it will be tuned an I will show you guys the dyno vidz and the numbers it produces ;-)

                        Back story first:

Fired up the car and it had a slight coolant leak from the valley pan gasket. Didn't seem that bad until we got the car out of the garage. Ended up saying fuck it and let him at least make it move for the first time ever.

Pulling it out of this ghetto ass garage, a gaggle of rabid stray dogs came out of NOWHERE and started just attacking his tires. I thought I was recording when this was happening but it turns out I wasn't. Anyway, here's a shitty video of a shitty launch.

Congrats on getting it running Jeremy.

                          How's it running?

I have a few questions if you don't mind...

How'd you clean the pistons so well without damaging the cylinder bore surfaces? I'm not sure how sensitive the bore surface would be to emery cloth, maybe it's not even an issue.

Also, did you have to do anything about the oil separator valve, as far as it being different between the m60 and m62? I remember Garey said he had to bend the tube on his, but as far as I can see, they are the same part number.

Did anything else come up during the hybrid build that wasn't bolt-on or straight forward?

What do you plan to do for a tune, and what chip are you currently running? How is it running on that chip?

Emery cloth and ATF in a circle motion,, also in haven't driven it since that last couple Sundays ago been working to but the little parts it needs to be really drivable .and I don't remember having any issues with the separator.

The only think I can think of is where you have to make your own gaskets for the upper covers where they meet the lower covers. Cause the M62 HG don't go all the way like the M60 HG does. I'm probably missing something else but can't remember right now.

Currently no chip, just some 404 DME out of a 94 740 and it runs just they way I ran it called for it to smoke a little due to a leaky valve cover gasket. And I fucked up when I installed the engine and broke the nipples off the back of the intake so the FPR was just capped off for the time being causing it to shoot flames when you let off the throttle too fast.

I will be taking the car down to Metric Mechanics and having the m tune it with a chip and basically they will redo the whole DME from fuel maps and such to deleting the IACV n no essential things. And I will take another ECU down with that I can have then burn or make a daily tune for it too. So one DME for power n the other for economy you can say.

I'm assuming for your latest poll, you are using crank HP numbers rather than wheel HP. Are you just going to factor in a certain percentage to drivetrain loss and add that back in when you do the dyno? or will you be doing an engine dyno?
