What exactly are you looking for? The schematics on wedophones have anything you could possibly want for BMW electrical systems. My sticky thread in the 24v forum has the link and a quick write up on how to read them.

Forgot you were using an OBD-II harness, and I also didn't realize none of the m62 ETM's were uploaded to that site. Bummer.
Try to find a copy of Volume 2 of the Bentley e39 manual, that's the electrical info portion of it. Or a copy of the e39 540i ETM. A quick Google search for both of those brought back a lot of results, but I'm at work and a lot of those file sharing sites are blocked so I can't download them to look at them to see if they're legit.
Just slap some m60 heads and wire harness on it and you'll be all set, with even more power :)Comment

Yep found some PDF's online :) got all the info I needed...dont know why I didnt think Bentley...loll.. its like THE number one of information for all sensors, elect..
For the M60 heads too late now plus I want to get this motor fired up and start tuning it see what I can squeeze out of it in stock M62b44 format first... BUT I know having it all wired up and ready for boost that I will once AGAIN fall in the trap of boost... Im a junkie trying to not go there again.. but then I saw the video of the new Challenger HELLCAT and of course Jeremy with all the pics of the roots type SC's sitting on the motor... and god knows how much I love dem roots type SC's and how it easy it would be on this motor with already a 5 tooth pulley (space not used by A/C) Im like.......FKK!!
anyways time for small update...
I have ordered all the stuff I need to run my own EFI system...I even manage to find information on all the OEM sensors I will run with my new Engine management.
Drew up a quick draft schema of what it will look like (approved and signed by my 5 year old son hugo LOLLL)... of course this is high level but I will draw sections in details after as I go.

I'm also very interested in how your COP's end up working in this configuration. I'm using the stock COP's as well on my M62, using the same drivers, wasted spark with MS3. I've got it wired up for sequential, but haven't gotten around to getting the cam sensor to work right, thus wasted spark for now. I have a hard to diagnose miss/misfire at higher RPM's that I'm wondering is due to running these too hard. (wasted spark)Comment

yeap for sure can never have enough safety..its not on my chart yet but I plan on running it in that nice location right after the TB (hope it just screws right in the place with same thread) Im going to use the GM one.
I suspect your Drivers are running HOT.. What setup do you have to them? are you using a good Heatsink? Location? Im going to use the QuadSpark from Diy (nice heatsink box made just for them I can hide away from the heat)I'm also very interested in how your COP's end up working in this configuration. How did you wire the COPS in Wasted spark mode? Green(Power)- Brown (Ground) - signal (???).Denny

Hi Denny,
I am using the GM IAT sensor as well, I just mounted it into the intake tube, that's where it is stock on the M62. I'm not sure where it would go after the TB, but go for it if there is a place, you want it right in the path of incoming air. I don't think it's for safety, as far as I know, megasquirt uses this to calculate the air density and thus the fueling rates.
I'm using the same coil drivers as you, quad spark, I have two of them mounted inside the cabin on the firewall. They are wired for sequential in my set-up, but set to run in wasted spark in the MS3, it works. I also used the stock harness after the quad spark, it's shielded.
Anyways, my theory is that the COP's are causing the misfire because they are running in wasted spark. That's why I'm interested in how yours ends up working. I need to get my cam sensor working which would rule out that theory. I'm still a bit sick of troubleshooting signals to the MS3 after a bunch of problems with the crank VR sensor initially, so I've put it off.Comment

Hey thanks for your input! :) For my setup and my experience that the IAT sensor is "mostly important" for F/I setups to retard timing when air temps get too high but for N/A its less important. Fueling rates will be 50% TPS / 50% MAP for me. Coolant sensor will determine cold start, hot start fuel and timing. The VR sensor since its a 2 Pin needs extra shielding for noise and that I got it cover very nicely. For the OEM COPS I finished wiring it all wasted spark Mode (Brown=MS2 Green=12V and (?colors)=not used ) with 1 QuadSpark box. I will loom all the wires and make it clean and nice once the engine starts :devil:Hi Denny,

Hi Denny, I don't think that wiring is right for the stock COPs. I'm sure it's not actually. They are three wire coils, they need constant ground and power(green and brown), the other colored wires on each coil are the trigger that should be wired to your quad spark.Comment
