    M Tech Steering Wheel

Where can I find info on the variations of the M Tech Steering wheel and what they are worth. I am trying to figure out if the decoration on my garage wall is valuable.

I believe there was an M tech 1 for the 80s cars, and two versions of the M Tech 2 (270 and 385mm). Also, I think the number of teeth on the splines were different between the 1 and 2 (or perhaps between the different versions of the 2?).
    My e39 540i6:

    HRE 543s w/Michelin Pilot Sports
    Koala LSD w/ 3.38 Gears
    H&R Springs/Bilsteins/Eibach sway bars
    Zionsville Alloy Radiator and fan
    Authority CAI and ECU tuning
M5 calipers, European M5 floating rotors
    SprintBooster
    Eurodash & armrest
    Aspheric Mirrors
    V1 Headrest install w/ashtray display
    Lidatek w/custom dash switch
    Saab trunk handle

e30 zone lists them along with a classic period tuner and aftermarket wheels.

      Thx. That helps.

Do the 285 mm M Tech 1s have different splines for the e30 v the e24?

some fit some don't. e24 uses both the coarse and the fine spline wheels. later e24s will fit. think the the change was somewhere in 85.

The e24 was kind of like a re-bodied e28, so you can add that car into your list of interchangeability.

Partially correct - early E24s were based on the E12.

Post detailed pics of the wheel in question, front and back.
