    Steering wheel won’t unlock

    My steering wheel will NOT unlock. No amount of jiggling helps.
    tried two different keys. Lubed the lock. Tapped with a mallet. Nothing.
    has anyone experienced this before? What are my options???

      Never experienced this before. Did this just start happening out of the blue? Maybe the ignition switch is worn and no longer unlocking the wheel. People have manually unlocked the wheel by pushing the pin down but this often times damages the steering wheel. I've seen this with junkyard cars without keys. You might be able to get to it by drilling a hole in the upper column cover but I don't have any details. Check YouTube.

          Won't unlock as in you can't turn the key at all? Or turning it doesn't unlock the steering wheel?

              This has happened to me. Jiggle the steering wheel a little harder as you jiggle the key. Then once you get the key to turn, look into pulling the lock core and removing the steering wheel to find out what is actually binding.

              Maybe lube up the plunger that locks the steering wheel or file it smooth if there's any odd nicks.
