Driving w/o Instrument Cluster - Alternator Charging

The resistor is on the instrument cluster PCB.

answers the reason why the car won't charge without a cluster.

I measured the resistor.
It's 150 Ω (Ohm).
It's 1 or 2 Watt.

It probably opens a transistor, so the exact value isn't important.

In case anyone is interested this worked fine and you can see the pins 14 the bottom right as you look and 16 positioned 2 above it. you would want to secure it a bit better for longer term though to stop it falling out or anything touching the wires the photo is just temporary for illustration
