Every since you started racing your car you've acted like a complete asshole who thinks he's better then everybody, why don't you go hide on DTM power for awhile with the other morons.
You're very quickly alienating yourself from everyone on this board.
And that's just awful.....since majority of the board are ricers hiding under the elitistism of a BMW. (german cars are too good to be rice, and e30 are god's car)
I'm painting my car in the next year..want to say thats stupid?
Another $3K into a $1500 car?? What do you think I think about it? And paint.....the benefit/price ratio.......
EVERYTHING serves a purpose, even if it's rice. It's purpose is to appease the owner of the vehicle, who liked it enough to do it. Everyone has different tastes.
Only none of you believe in that enough not to avoid getting all worked up when there is a car that is "rice" and flame the other person for it. I've seen threads go all out just because someone has a M3 badge on a car. If anyone is a hypocrite isn't you people who will think a euro bodykitted e30 is cool but a japanese s15-front ended 240 is rice.
Just because you don't care about the appearance factor does not give you any right to say that those who do are wrong, just as they have no right to tell you that you are wrong.
Hey, the idiot kids don't get why one would drive an ugly car around the track......so I don't get the point of driving a pretty car to and from school. Call it selective denseness. Maybe they'll realize that driving a car that performs is a whole lot more fun that looking at a pretty car parked.......
Whether it's rolling on 26's, putting that "Battle" bomex kit on the civic, or fitting the uber cool and rare German bling to your car......most people are doing shit for the benefit of impressing others. And I believe that's silly. Do what you want, not what someone else thinks is cool. If you have a hater, ignore them.....you fruits just can't handle anyone not loving the new paint and new body kit on a $2K e30, can you? Man up and be confident enough to not throw a hissy fit.
Show me where it's written or unwritten that modding is required to serve a functional purpose or performance gain.
If it isn't for a purpose, what is the point? That's my point. Thousands of dollars just to impress some nerds on the internet and a few buddies around, or get an eye or two while cruising.....
Before you do anything ask yourself why? Why are you doing it?
Don't say because it is fun. That's a horrible reason. That's basically saying my car doesn't need this, but I'm bored, so I'll throw my $ at the car. (and it's the same reason the ricers use).
I call that the Matt Russel school of thought. I'm 18, I'm bored.....I'll throw $ at my car. Do I need to have HIDs to see at night? Probably not. Do I need a roll bar? Probably not. Will it be cool in my peers eyes to do this shit......heck yes. I ought to find a german check panel....that'd be mad hot.
I guess it goes back to AndreNY. Anyone like his car? I don't. It was a stock eta with a suspension too low to do any good and a faux kit and a new paint job. But a lot of people loved it. Oh well.....

Do you need all your bushings and shit? all your THR eyball arms, all your purposeful "Race" mods? No, you can has just as much fun with a stock car, and learn just as much. Your point is moot.
Nope. I don't think so. If I didn't replace the subframe bushings, I wouldn't have passed tech. That means they wouldn't allow me on the track like they kept me from in April 2004.
I can see that the engine isnt going to have the air-flow problems that it might have with a single TB since the air is getting rammed into the cylinders, but considering where the stock TB is on the M20 intake manifold, then looking at the ITB's in the picture, i see that the compressed air is just going to be inches away from the cylinders when the throttle is shut, so when those throttle's crack, its going to enter the cylinders almost instantenously....then again im not sure how long it would take from the stock TB position.
instead of running 1 big plenum that feeds all the cylinders, id like to see 6 indvidual tubes running from the charge pipe to each TB...that would be interesting ; )
heh, what was I arguing about again? I forget. But there's a million R3Vers with their pussies inflamed.
their pussies are inflamed because you act like a total asshole. you think you are somehow better than everyone else on this forum because you have been to a few track days.
cars have long been appreciated for their beauty, why do car makers try to make their cars look good?? because people enjoy a nice looking car.
does that make car manufacturers ricers?
i had a lot more to say to you, but i just realized this is the internet.
If we ban him, he won't learn anything. I vaguely recall a time where he was helpful and provided worthwhile information on here too, it'd be a shame to lose a board member that may have the answer to a question you ask. It's not like he's trying to be a prick, he just believes his opinion is correct - any of us would be this adamant in arguing if we thought we were too.

sorry for being a dick guys and not digging your body kits and eur0h parts. I should be more respectful of everyone else's tastes......
even if i think its worthless, i should let you folks have your fun.
You may be just patronizing us here, but I could give a shit less. It's the first smart thing you've said the entire post. You've been on the boards a long time, show some respect for newbies and the older members.
