    Performance chip suggestions.

Hey guys. I have an 87 325e and I'm looking at getting a chip for it. I've seen post previously of people asking for suggestions on a certain chip but I was wondering your guys thoughts on comparison of three. All comments are appreciate I'm looking at ordering this week so I'm making the decision soon thanks again :)

    Option 1: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/BMW-...95-models.aspx

    Option2: http://sssquid.com/v2/shop/bmw/e30/e...25e325es-chip/

    Option3: http://www3.sympatico.ca/mdsylva/products.htm

Each one of those people know what they're talking about. SSSquid may not have the same time in the industry as Turner or MarkD, but that's not to say they're any less capable. I doubt anyone has run back to back tests with those 3 products. However if they did, I'm sure they'd all show similar results. It's not new technology or a complicated motor.

For 87 325e, stay with stock chip. You are just wasting your money, power gain is minimal to none

I will respectfully disagree. I put an sssquid in our 87 ETA and it made quite a noticeable difference.

Jesse also did a street tune on my Cabrio after we installed 19lb injectors and a chip so I see no reason to deal with anyone else.

A performance chip makes a very noticeable difference on Eta cars.

              I recommend SSSquid as well.

I experimented this myself and gain was minimal to none. So far I haven't seen concrete dyno results other than of those who sell chips. BMW won't just leave power there for no reason for people to discover.

More like BMW tuned M20s for 87 octane and fuel economy.

I noticed on the Squid page that there is an octane option on their chips... anyone here try the 89 octane?

Been thinking about a chip, but would also like to keep my fuel costs reasonable.

Pity there isn't an 87 Octane chip... LOL
