    Jacking up e30

Is this where I should be jacking the car up from ? This is my first time I don't know where to do it from . I've seen the pic of the upsidedown e30 but I'm still not completely sure

Not unless you want less leg room.

Frame Rails or Pinch welds. Pick your poison.

Nowhere. The damned things are too soft.

I welded 1" square tube under my pinch welds, and now I'm feeling quite stout...

Ive always just use the frame rails and the points at the rear where the bushings go. Will use the diff if the front tires are really well secured.

That's a pretty good idea for a RWD e30. Front subframe is ideal for an IX.

                    Frame rails

word of advice since this will be your first time jacking this car use some rubber or some newspaper or something in between the jack and the frame rails because like someone said it is pretty soft and over time your jack will eat up all the protective paint and possibly start denting the surface. for the rear i do it from the diff and put stands on the subframe every time so what works perfect.

I use a piece of plywood or a piece of rubber tire between the jack and car frame rail or jack-point to avoid scratching up paint / forking up the jacking mount surface

                      *** and jack stands

If you jack from uncoated spots like the control arm lollipop, you won't have this issue. Frame rails and pinch welds should be jack stand only.

                          Hahaha

But really, a simple google search would have gotten faster results. This thread is stupid but funny.
