i just did this to mine about 10 minutes ago, i took it for a spin.... at WOT in any gear around 4k, the thing sounds amazing, the rest of the time, it's pretty much the same as stock. definately sounds sweet, i'd reccomend it!

can that be done with the stock air box? or just one with the M30 AFM? will it have the same effects? that sounds like a cool, easy mod to do. nice work.

yeah, stock is fine. All you need is the bottom of the airbox, and drill the far side.

Same "effects" - you know, loud intake, but it sounds cool.....not like it will fart on itself at low rpms. Sean has done this, but didn't post up pictures.

I can get pics up here if anyone wants to see them. I did the same thing as Rob, I drilled holes on the opposite side of the box away from the engine. I also drilled less holes in a bigger size. Mine were all 1/2in in size.



Also, Drew (randomtask) wrote a huge writeup on this a while back, and he actually compared all the different intake options. ;)

You've got to make it look like swiss cheese before you notice much of a difference.
