I am loving this build. If an LSx can be swapped into an E30 and get BAR'd & CARB ok'd, then it makes it all worth while. The smog laws in most counties in Calif make engine modifications for a street registered cars nearly impossible to do.

I eagerly await what bureaucrats' nod of approval.

Got more parts today. Slotted Rotors, Front/Rear Pads, Front/Rear Bearings and some misc parts.

I also undercoated the undercarriage, wheel wells, trunk and rockers. I figured doing the rockers 360' was cheap insurance because its a common rust area for E30's and they will not be seen once the front/rear facia and side skirts are installed. It turned out better than I thought. Coating is going to dry and I will be installing the front and rear suspension at the end of the week!! I cannot wait. Its going to be awesome being that everything is new.

That really depends on the chassis I think, the early non air bag/ non abs have much less wiring and things in the way (compraing between 84 and 89 chassis for example).

Front/Rear suspension is on. Bilstein Sport Shocks, H&R Race Springs, FAG Wheel bearings with pressed in ARP wheel studs. More pics to come...

This is what $80 in new bolts for front/rear suspension looks like. EVERY BOLT on the cars is new...

Im really starting to get excited now that the car is actually starting to look like a car again. Next week we have to drop off the car at the painters to paint the engine bay prior to engine install.

Very nice! I did the same thing on my e30 build, pretty much replaced every bolt/nut/washer/bracket new. Good to see I am not the only OCD guy here lol
