Has anyone converted from Macpherson to Sla front suspension?

Title pretty much speaks for itself. I was wondering if anyone has seen an e30 that was converted to an unequal length a-arm setup. I'm thinking about ideas for greater suspension travel.

Sounds like you would be better off cutting the front frame of the car and just doing it from the ground up as a tube frame.

Lots to consider before you even pickup a grinder. You can do whatever you want with your suspension geometry which means it would be quite easy to make it pretty terrible.

I would start playing with suspension geometry design packages and seeing what sort of arm lengths you need to achieve your desired camber curve etc. to see if they will fit. And as for what the desired camber curve actually is well thats where the science is. Lots of books on that topic.

This guy did it (google image search), not much e30 left.

Interesting but more travel? Why? Are you building an E30 prerunner?
