Brake lines

Getting ready to replace the brake lines around the distribution T in the rear under the gas tank..Does anyone sell pre bent hard lines anymore?

I make pre-bent kits for the 2002 and E9 Coupes. Thought about doing the E30, but it just seems like the market just isn't there to support it yet.

They arent to hard to bend, I bought a cheap tube bender from Amazon they bend pretty easy.

Yea,I've used copper lines on my IX..looks like I will be bending steel lines this time

I used copper when I did mine... Easy to bend by hand, won't ever corrode.

Just a bit of information, not only does copper corrode (ask an experienced plumber) but it also work hardens. A good copper brake line is a copper nickel alloy, more resistant to corrosion and work hardening. If you were to use pure copper you'd run the risk of work hardening it while bending and experiencing cracks over time and you'd see galvanic corrosion anywhere it touched steel or aluminum. No brake line is impervious to corrosion, a good reason to inspect them occasionally.

I should have specified that I DID in fact use copper nickel "cunifer" line.

I didn't know pure copper line was even available, otherwise I wouldn't have been lazy with my terminology! Good catch

Classic Tube has a 10 piece kit in their catalog for the 85-87 325e. They offer both steel and stainless.
